The History of Daimler
What is a Daimler? Is it a Jaguar? A Mercedes (Daimler Benz)? For those unsure, it is one of the oldest automobile marques in the world, and most emphatically British. Historically it does have links to Mercedes Benz though as the founding British company bought the right to the use of the Daimler name in 1896 from one Gottlieb Daimler, (the same one of Daimler Benz / Mercedes Benz origins).
In 1960, Daimler was acquired by Jaguar and thus began it’s long association with the marque. A Daimler is essentially a higher specification, more luxurious and refined Jaguar, a Jag with extra Jaaaggg, if you will. In America, Daimlers were badged as a Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas in order to avoid confusion with Daimler Benz. The last time the Daimler badge graced a new car was 2007, so they are now an even more exclusive breed, well respected by those who appreciate the finer things in life. Our x300 Majestic Long Wheel Base Six is one of just over 1300 of that model produced, that now awaits your exclusive enjoyment.

Many chauffeur companies offer premium vehicles, but very few offer a truly classic experience.
Some even show generic pictures or videos of nice cars that won’t be the actual one you’ll ride in.
With Roam James, the car you see here is the car you’ll get, so why not….
